CADWorx Plant Professional 2020 comes with new CADWorx Equipment 2020 with fresh enhanced interface with more functionality.

CADWorx Equipment has had the following enhancements for 2020.

  • New and improved user experience with a ribbon bar, model and library explorers, and property panes.
  • Improved tools to manage properties for both custom and primitive shapes. For more information, see Custom Shape Manager or Primitive Shape Manager.
  • CADWorx Equipment Editor – A new software solution for creating and managing libraries of equipment definitions.
  • Implemented weight and center of gravity calculation, and bill of material functions shared between CADWorx Plant, Structure, and Equipment.
    Equipment images can now be added to the definition. For more information, see Define Components.
  • You can now import legacy equipment (CADWorx 2019 and earlier) from dwg files and attached xrefs. For more information, see Import.
  • User custom data is now supported for property types, hierarchy, and inheritance. For more information, see Define Components.
  • Use the new managers to create and maintain property catalogs for:
  • PV Elite integration (import and export) has been improved to utilize newly developed PV Elite integration APIs. For more information, see Import.
  • CADWorx Equipment now uses Smart License for product authentication and licensing.
